Introduction

Megaline, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, is one of the leading service providers of heavy marine transportation. We own and operate 4 heavy transport vessels, which comprises of 3 world-class self-propelled deck carriers and 1 semi-submersible.

Founded in 2006, in just over a decade, we have successfully transformed ourselves to one of the most reliable global heavy marine transportation experts in the world. Through our project-orient approach, we have always serviced the requirement of our clients which is our upmost priority.

Megaline has also developed its own in-house engineering by bringing together engineering expertise from various industries and investing in leading engineering software, which gives us the ability to provide engineering solutions to our clients and project-specific requirements.

Joint Research Agreement Signing between SHI and MEGALINE for Offshore Transport Technology Capacity Building

On April 11, 2024, SHI and MEGALINE entered into a joint research agreement to enhance offshore transport technology capacity. Through this collaboration, the two companies have completed the following five research projects over six months, concluding on October 29, 2024:

  1. Standardization of offshore transport design and development of a deck carrier vessel database.
  2. Standardization of recyclable sea-fastening structure designs.
  3. Development of solutions for overseas fabrication, loading, and transport of offshore topside modules.
  4. Selection of optimal transport routes, considering offshore environmental conditions and motion acceleration.
  5. Creation of an optimized deck carrier concept design based on the research findings.

This partnership aims to advance innovation and efficiency in offshore transport solutions.
